Dear Subscriber,

PSI ACTIVITY

Potato Store Managers' Course

This month, PSI has been delivering another round of store management training with 20 delegates (pictured below) joining us for our 2-day Potato Store Managers' Course at Greetham Valley hotel in Rutland.

Delegates were able to benefit from group discussions and scenario challenges, tuition from new contributor Tim Kitson as well as storage 'stalwarts' Glyn Harper and Adrian Cunnington plus networking opportunities across the two days with their fellow trainees. The course delegates came this year from not only East Anglia but from as far afield as Cheshire, East Yorkshire, Somerset, northern France and Prince Edward Island, Canada!

Our next course is expected to be a 1-day session, likely to be held in the last week of August. Please contact adrian@potatostorageinsight.com if you are interested and would like to be sent details when they are released.

We can also update you on plans for our third strategic Potato Storage Day, that will be held on Wednesday 20th May, sponsored by Farm Electronics and UPL.

BEST PRACTICE

The main issue I have noticed widely across UK stores has been the increase in sprouting pressure that has become evident in the last few weeks.
