Very sad to hear of the recent passing of Tim Dent, my former boss in the 1980s at Sutton Bridge Experimental Station, as it was then known.
Tim (pictured below) headed up the ground-breaking R&D on potato storage by the Potato Marketing Board at the Sutton Bridge site for 25 years, from its establishment in 1963 through to 1988.
I last saw Tim back in 2014 when he attended the '50 Years of Sutton Bridge' celebration event.
